In a heartfelt response to the devastating floods that affected thousands across Bangladesh in 2024, the Dhaka Collegiate School Alumni Association has extended a helping hand to those in need. Demonstrating solidarity and compassion, the association has contributed BDT 100,000 to the Chief Advisor’s Relief & Welfare Fund, aimed at supporting relief and rehabilitation efforts for flood-affected communities.

This contribution is a reflection of the enduring spirit of social responsibility shared among the alumni of the country’s oldest and most prestigious educational institutions. The fund was raised through generous donations from alumni across the country, united by a common cause — to stand beside fellow citizens in a time of crisis.

"We are deeply moved by the hardship faced by countless families due to the recent floods," said a representative of the Alumni Association. "As former students of Dhaka Collegiate School, we believe in giving back to society and upholding the values of empathy and civic duty that were instilled in us during our formative years."

The fund has been officially handed over to the Chief Advisor’s Relief Fund, where it will be directed towards urgent necessities, including food, clean water, medicine, and temporary shelter for those displaced by the disaster.

The Dhaka Collegiate School Alumni Association extends its sincere gratitude to all contributors who made this initiative possible. The association also urges others to come forward and support ongoing relief efforts, reinforcing the message that collective action can bring hope and healing during even the most difficult times.

This initiative not only exemplifies the alumni’s commitment to humanitarian causes but also reinforces the school’s legacy of nurturing generations of socially conscious citizens.
